NovaByte Solutions is looking for a motivated Junior IT Support Specialist to join our remote support team. This is a perfect opportunity for college students studying Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields who want hands-on experience in a real-world tech environment while managing their academic schedule.
Respond to internal and client help desk tickets via email and chat
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues remotely
Document technical issues and solutions in our knowledge base
Assist senior technicians with system updates and patches
Support onboarding of new users and device setup
Monitor basic system alerts and escalate when necessary
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program
Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, IP, VPN)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work 15–25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
CompTIA A+ or IT Fundamentals certification
Experience with ticketing systems such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Bash)
Fully remote position with flexible hours around your class schedule
